ADVOCACY  VISIT SPEECH DELIVERED BY THE CHIEF TECHNICAL OFFICER OF SANDBOX TECHNOLOGIES/HEAD AFRICAN YOUTH ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMIT(A-YES2017)   TO DEVELOPMENT FINANCE OFFICER, CENTRAL BANK OF NIGERIA, BENIN BRANCH ON 2ND MAY,2017

We wish to express our appreciation for the approval of this courtesy visit , this further show that Central Bank of Nigeria is Committed to Socio-Economic Development for Global Innovation for Entrepreneurs.

We find it imperative to seek an audience of securing 220 Billion Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises   Development Fund (MSMEDF) of the Central Bank of Nigeria which was launched in August 2014. ,it is on record that the objective of the fund is to channel low interest funds to MSME sub sector of the Nigerian economy. As entrepreneurs we find it very challenging to secure the Said fund from Deposit Money Banks(DMBs) and other participating   Financial Institutions (PFIs),therefore We Wish to get first hand information about the Said Fund and how to secure it for Global Business Development in Africa.Entrepreneurs are the driving force that keeps our economy rolling, but the life of an entrepreneur is not that rosy, They have to take an insane amount of risk, swim against the tide and have to come up with new ideas to emerge as successful entrepreneurs. As the Chief Financial Regulator of  Economy of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, We wish to respectfully seek for your attention. Subsequently, as Entrepreneurship Development hit Global Community and Africa, We find it imperative to add our voice through African Youth Entrepreneurship Summit.,(A-YES) with theme :Fostering Technology with Entrepreneur to be held in Benin City. Edo State, Nigeria.

The main goal of this summit is to create a space that brings different Stakeholders to deliberate and charter an effective course of action of Entrepreneurship and actors a like across the Continent, on strategies to uphold and strengthen Entrepreneurship values through technology sequel to United Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth and Agenda 2063 (Aspiration 2) of the African Union and recently major newspapers in Nigeria are reporting SMEs Programmes for young persons, The Nigerian Observer, April 20, 2017,Vol.40.NO.491,pg.2 Vanguard ,Monday ,May 1st ,2017,vol.25 No.63280, Pg 14, The Tribune, May, 1st 2017,No.16,751, Pg, 25 Leadership May 1st, 2017,No.2843,(front page).As a Corporate Organization, we are leveraging on Your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy for Partnership for the Success of A-YES2017,we have propose  May,17,2017.

We must start from the simple Premise that  Africa’s future  is up to Africans.... it will be the young people brimming with talent  and energy and hope  who can  to claim the future..H.E. President Barrack Obama  Accra ,Ghana July, 2009.

In this regard, Government and other Stakeholders need to encourage and sustain Youth development programmes to make the Youth more active and creative for the future, assist the Youths in terms of entrepreneurial skills through seminars, conferences, workshop, etc and also support Youth based organizations to enhanced capacity building for Good Governance. A-YES'2017 is organized by  Foundation of African Youth, a Non -Governmental Organization, Promoting and Defending African Youth's Rights for Good Governance with technical support from SandBox Technologies, Smiles Communication Nigeria Limited  and with Endorsement from  African Youth Commission, Banjul Gambia and other Stakeholders.
